The Humboldt Housing & Homeless Coalition (HHHC) is eligible for $731,963 in HUD funding in 2015 for programs providing services and housing to chronically homeless individuals.
This year, in addition to renewal projects and possible new projects created through reallocation, HHHC is also eligible to apply for a new Permanent Supportive Housing Bonus Project to serve chronically homeless persons. Permanent Supportive Housing projects provide financial assistance for housing for chronically homeless individuals that have disabilities. Supportive services to help these individuals maintain housing are required but must be paid for by other funding.
The time frame is short and applications must be completed by October 13, 2014.
If you are a renewal project applicant or are interested in applying for a new project, you must attend the Technical Assistance workshop on Monday, October 6 from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the DHHS Pro Building, 507 F Street, Eureka (Large Conference Room). Requirements for this year's application process, local scoring materials, and any other questions will be discussed.
