The Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) southern Humboldt office is moving from Garberville to Redway with doors in the new location expected to open Wednesday, March 16.
DHHS plans to be housed in the Redway location for around six months while construction takes place at the Garberville location.
The Garberville office, which currently houses Eligibility staff, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, as well as general Public and Behavioral Health services, will be closed Tuesday, March 15, for the move.
Starting Wednesday, the Redway office, located at 3156 Redwood Drive, will be open for regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch. To reach the office, call 707-923-2779.
Construction is expected to start on the 727 Cedar St. location in Garberville following the move and should be completed sometime in early fall.
