The Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) Employment Training Division invites job seekers to the 2017 Redwood Coast Career Fair.

DHHS and its Job Market partners including the North Coast Employer Advisory Council, are hosting the event on Tuesday, May 2, at the Arcata Community Center. The Career Fair runs from noon to 2 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to vocational counselors, receive resume critiques, chat with local employers and apply for current job openings. A DHHS Mobile Outreach vehicle will also be on-site with computer stations for attendees to fill out applications and create resumes.

This year, The Job Market is teaming up with the Northern Humboldt Union High School District for the first time to give students information about potential careers and access to local job prospects.

The Arcata Community Center is located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Arcata, across from HealthSPORT. Free shuttles will run every 20 minutes from The Job Market at 409 K St. in Eureka starting at 10:45 a.m. and continuing until 1:35 p.m. For more information about the Redwood Coast Career Fair, call The Job Market at 707-441-5627 or visit thejobmarket.org.
