Community residents are invited to review and comment on Humboldt County’s Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) annual update.
The Annual Update and Prevention and Early Intervention Evaluation and Annual Innovation Project Report lays out MHSA-funded 2018-19 fiscal year expenditures.
In 2004, California voters approved Proposition 63, or MHSA, which placed a 1 percent tax on personal incomes in excess of $1 million. The funding is used to develop and support local mental health programs for children, youth, adults and older adults.
The comment period runs from April 8 through May 7, and will be followed by a public hearing on May 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Humboldt County Health & Human Services’ Professional Building at 507 F St. in Eureka.
