In an effort to expedite abatement of violations of County Code, Humboldt County Code Enforcement is taking complaints that have traditionally been accepted and investigated by the county’s Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Environmental Health.
Complaints regarding properties located in the unincorporated areas of the county that can be directed to Code Enforcement include garbage or trash dumps, substandard housing and abandoned vehicles, tires or appliances.
This change is pursuant to the directive of the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors in an effort to streamline and expedite complaint investigation and enforcement.
