Community residents are invited to review and comment on the Humboldt County draft Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Three-Year Plan for 2023-2026.
In 2004, California voters approved Proposition 63, or MHSA, which placed a 1 percent tax on personal incomes in excess of $1 million. This revenue is used to develop and support local mental health programs for children, youth, adults and older adults.
The comment period runs through May 25. A public hearing is scheduled for May 25, during the Humboldt County Behavioral Health Board’s May meeting and will be facilitated by the Board in a hybrid format. The meeting runs from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. For those attending in person, the meeting is scheduled to take place at the Professional Building, 507 F St. in Eureka. Additional information on the public hearing will be available on the Behavioral Health Board’s May agenda, which will be posted soon.
