If you are interested in technical forest related topics of concern to Humboldt County, consider applying to serve on Humboldt County’s Forestry Review Committee.
The Forestry Review Committee considers and makes recommendations regarding technical forest related matters to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission.
The committee consists of 11 members, with nine members serving as voting members. Of the nine voting members on this committee, five are appointed individually by each Board member and four at-large members are appointed by a majority of the full Board. Appointees are not required to reside in the district of the Board member making the appointment, but all appointees must reside within Humboldt County.
All voting members must be registered professional foresters in good standing and working in Humboldt County. A registered professional forester in good standing is an individual who holds a current license issued by the Board of Forestry and who does not have a currently outstanding licensing action issued by the Board of Forestry.
Applications are currently being accepted for one at-large position.
Application Process
Applications are due on by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 and can be found on the county’s Forestry Review Committee webpage. Completed applications should be emailed to cob@co.humboldt.ca.us or mailed to the Clerk of the Board, 825 Fifth St. Suite 111, Eureka, CA 95501.
