The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors today approved three contracts with outside agencies regarding Measure Z allocations. The contracts describe in detail the actions to be carried out by the county and agencies receiving funds from Measure Z, the half-cent sales tax approved by voters in November.
Of the 15 projects the Board chose to fund with Measure Z revenues, six of them are with outside agencies. Today’s contracts are between the Board and each of the following: Area 1 Agency on Aging; the City of Rio Dell; and the Humboldt County Fire Chief’s Association. Contracts with the remaining outside agencies will be going to the Board soon.
In an effort to clearly show how each agency is spending Measure Z funds, the agencies agree to:
• Provide the services or carry out the actions described in the Measure Z application and approved by the Board • Submit quarterly reports and a final summary report to the county
• Provide quarterly itemized invoices to the county• Recognize Measure Z funding through press releases, photos and adhesives to equipment
The above-described reports, invoices and contracts will be made available on the county’s website at humboldtgov.org/MeasureZ.
