The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is seeking nominations to appoint a representative to the Partnership HealthPlan of California Board of Commissioners. Partnership is the Medicaid-managed care health plan for Humboldt County’s Medi-Cal patients. It is a County Organized Health System serving 14 counties, governed by a 33-Member Board of Commissioners. The Board is seeking nominations to fill one seat to represent Humboldt County.
Commission members are appointed by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to serve 4-year terms. The Board of Commissioners meets bi-monthly on the 4th Wednesday of every even month from 10 am to 2 pm, with the exception of the December meeting which will be held on the 1st Wednesday of the month. The first meeting of the appointees’ term will be Aug. 28, 2019.
Commissioners are asked to participate on two sub-committees of the commission which meet with varying frequency, and in an annual full-day strategic planning retreat on the last Wednesday in February. Meetings may be attended in-person or via video conferencing from the Eureka Partnership office. Commissioners serve without compensation, but may receive a stipend and travel allowance from the health plan.
