The Headwaters Fund is recruiting for a new member for the Headwaters Fund Board, the community board overseeing all aspects of the Headwaters Fund. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply. Working with Headwaters Fund staff, board members review and recommend policies, budgets, grants, and loans to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors. The new board member will begin service in April, 2017.
The Headwaters Fund facilitates economic development in Humboldt County through loan and grant programs. Qualified applicants must possess the necessary experience and expertise to oversee this large and unique public fund. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to the community and economic development, skills to oversee a grant and loan fund, the ability to bridge multiple interests, professional integrity and a willingness to work as part of a volunteer board to further the goals of the Headwaters Fund.
The application deadline is March 10, 2017. Applicants will be interviewed by a screening committee who will recommend candidates to the Board of Supervisors for appointment.
