As of Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, fire crews have successfully created containment lines for the northwest section of the August Complex West Zone Fire near Humboldt County, preventing the fire from spreading into the county at this time. According to Cal Fire, the August Complex West Zone is currently 78,706 acres and 5 percent contained.
CURRENT HUMBOLDT COUNTY EVACUATION INFORMATION
The following areas are under an EVACUATION WARNING:
- All areas west of Bell Springs Road to Highway 101 spanning from Elk Creek Road / Dyerville Loop Road to the Mendocino / Trinity County Line in Southern Humboldt County.
- All areas east of Alderpoint Road spanning from Highway 36 to Casterlin Road.
- The Evacuation Order for the following areas was downgraded today to an Evacuation Warning: areas south of Casterlin Road, including all properties on Casterlin Road, to the Mendocino / Trinity County Line and east of Dyerville Loop Road and Bell Springs Road to the county line

CURRENT ROAD CONDITIONS
The following road closures are in effect. Access to Trinity County via the following roads is restricted:
- Ware Ranch Road at the Humboldt/Trinity County Line
- Island Mountain Road at the Humboldt/Trinity County Line
- Zenia Bluff Road and Hoagland Road are closed to through traffic via a Traffic Control Point. Humboldt County residents must provide proof of residency (ex. mortgage/utility statement, tax statement, CA Driver’s License) to access Zenia Bluff Road and Hoagland Road and return home within the county’s Evacuation Warning zone.

Humboldt County residents are encouraged to sign up for Humboldt Alert to receive local emergency notifications, including information regarding evacuations and emergency sheltering in the event of a future wildfire or other emergency incident.
