On June 14, 2023, at about 12:33 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the Korbel area conducted a vehicle investigation on an SUV and motorcycle, both occupied and parked in a dirt pull out along Bald Mountain Road.
Upon contact, deputies learned that the driver of the motorcycle, 24-year-old Zachariah Walker Dalton, was currently on probation with a search clause. Additionally, during their investigation, deputies learned that the motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Arcata in late May.
Dalton was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle (PC 496d(a)) and violation of probation (PC 1203.2(a)(2)).
