On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at about 1:45 p.m., Deputies responded to Dowd Rd near Pine Creek Bridge in Weitchpec for a report of a white Toyota Tundra parked off the road and hidden in the brush. Deputies and Yurok Police located the truck and confirmed it was the truck stolen during the robbery in Weitchpec on Sunday, February 28, 2016. No suspects were located in the area.
From the victim’s statements, the suspects are described as:
Suspect #1- Native American adult male, 6’ tall, medium build, wearing camouflage clothing, a green jacket with Humboldt Sheriff patches, grey ski mask, and a white felt cowboy hat
Suspect #2- Native American adult male, heavyset build, wearing camouflage clothing, dark colored ski mask, and black work boots
Suspect #3- Native American male adult, heavyset build, wearing camouflage clothing, red basketball shorts, dark ski mask, and a tattoo of the letter “A” with wings on his right hand.

Previous (2/29/16):
On Sunday, February 28, 2016 at about 11:44 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Lower Cappell Rd in Weitchpec for the report of a robbery that just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the three victims. The victims told deputies at about 9:30 p.m. three males, one armed with a pistol and two with shotguns, entered their residence. The suspects were wearing jackets with Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office emblems. The suspects tied up the victims with zip ties and the suspects demanded marijuana, cash, and guns. The three suspects stole cash and a 2014 white Toyota Tundra pick-up truck prior to leaving the scene.
This case is currently under investigation and more information will be released once it is learned.
