On 05-29-2015 at 4:30 p.m. a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputy contacted a 34 year old female victim in Phillpsville, regarding an assault. The female victim told the deputy that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, 40 year old, Peter Todd Osicka. The deputy contacted the victim at a local business in Phillipsville.
The victim said she made tamales and took them to the Farmers Market in Garberville today to make extra money. The victim said she made somewhere between $160 to $170 dollars selling tamales. The victim said she then returned home today to her residence located at the Deerhorn Trailer Park, Phillpsville. The victim said when she arrived at home, Osicka told her he wanted her money to “hook up”, which meant he needed to buy drugs. The victim told Osicka; no she needed the money for food and her rent.
The victim told the deputy, she then sat down at the table to eat some food. The victim said, Osicka approached her from behind and wrapped a styrofoam/plastic type wrap around her head and face. The victim said, Osicka used both of his hands around her throat and was strangling her. The victim said she could not breathe and Osicka was yelling at her to give him the money. The victim said she had the money in her hand and she dropped the money on the table. The victim said she then picked up a plate off the table and struck Osicka with the plate. Osicka let go of her and she was able to run out of her residence for help to a local business in Phillipsville. The victim said she felt like during the strangulation, she felt like she was going to die.
The deputy then went to the victim’s trailer located inside the Deerhorn Trailer Park. The deputy located Osicka at the trailer. The deputy then placed Osicka under arrest for assaulkt with a deadly weapon and armed robbery. Osicka was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility in Eureka and his bail was set at $50,000 dollars.
