On 04-05-2015, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a resident who lives in the 100 block of Kelsey Lane, Myers Flat, regarding a disturbance.
Upon Sheriff’s Deputies arrival, the victim reported that a neighbor, James Bull (age 46), assaulted him with a firearm. Bull allegedly came to the property and threw a rock at a parked vehicle. Bull then produced a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at the victim. Bull then struck the victim in the chest with the barrel of the firearm. A brief struggle for the firearm ensued and Bull was able to retain the firearm and flee on foot. There were no shots fired during the incident.
On 04-06-2015 at about 1:09 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence at the 10000 block of Dyverville Loop Rd. Deputies were able to locate Bull and placed him under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Bull was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked. Bull’s bail was set at $100,000.
