On Nov. 14, 2019, at about 2:11 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of Indianola Reservation Road in Loleta for the report of an assault that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that the suspect, identified as 48-year-old Seeley Lane Spott Jr., had gotten into an altercation with the 30-year-old male victim. At one point during the altercation, Spott reportedly struck the victim in the head with a bat causing injury. He then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Deputies searched the surrounding areas but were unable to located Spott or his vehicle. Spott is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
Spott is described as an American Indian male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a blue/silver Toyota Corolla.
