The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite
you to RMI Outdoors Celebration Day, September 14, 2019. The event starts at 9:00 AM at RMI Outdoors,
1240 Broadway St., in Eureka.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office Special Services Division and
the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team will be attending the Celebration Day
and will be displaying some of our equipment including the Sno-Cat, Command
Van, Jet Ski’s, and one of our Jet boats. They will also be presenting a demonstration on
how to prepare prior to going into the outdoors, and what to do if you become
lost.
This event is both educational and fun for the local youth! There will be raffles and prizes provided by
RMI as well as an Archery Shoot. Smokey
the Bear will be in attendance from noon to 2:00 PM with information on wild
fire prevention and he’ll even take a picture with you. The California Deer Association has plans to
sponsor a Live Trout Fish, so children can catch their own. Plus, the Boy Scouts of America will have hot
dogs and hamburgers for sale to satisfy your appetite and support the local troop at the same time! We hope to see you there!
