Humboldt County Libraries

Be sure to check this list of library events that happen on an ongoing basis and on a regular schedule, such as weekly storytimes, monthly book discussions, quarterly film series, and annual Summer Reading Programs.

When school lets out for the summer, the Humboldt County Library begins its Summer Reading program.
All children are welcome to join this free program. Challenges are available for adults and teens too. Visit events at any library or just collect a reading log and read!
Children who participate stretch their minds and keep up their reading skills over the summer while having lots of free, genuine fun: reading, doing crafts, hearing stories and songs, enjoying visiting presenters, and learning all the time.
