Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program works with Public Health Nursing, Environmental Health, the Child Health and Disability Prevention Program, and the Public Health Laboratory to prevent, detect, and eliminate lead poisoning in children under 6 years of age.

Child Passenger Safety Program
The Child Passenger Safety Program has free classes, car seat installation assistance and safety seat inspections to reduce injuries and deaths in children riding in vehicles.

Life jackets from infant to adult sizes are available to borrow at a variety of locations around Humboldt County.

The Public Health Clinic provides immunization services for all life stages, from infancy to those immunizations required for childcare, school, college entry, and beyond. The Clinic can also provide you with the immunizations and guidance needed for safe travel, and our nurse practitioner can help determine if malaria protection is indicated.

Tobacco-Free-Humboldt
Tobacco Free Humboldt (TFH) works to create a healthier Humboldt County by preventing and reducing nicotine addiction. The program works with community partners to create smoke-free environments and to increase the availability of free quit smoking resources.
