The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program is for income-eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum women, and children under the age of 5 who have a nutritional need. WIC is a federally funded program, administered by the California Department of Public Health.
Newly pregnant individuals, many working families, including military and migrant families, are eligible for WIC. Dads, foster parents, and guardians caring for children under the age of 5 are encouraged to apply! U.S. citizenship is not a requirement for receiving WIC.
WIC services include nutrition and health information, monthly food benefits for healthy foods, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other community resources.
For more information about WIC, visit the MyFamily website.
USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
