TYPES OF RELEASE
Recognizance
If a person is being released on his/her own recognizance, they will be released soon after the booking process is completed. However, intoxicated persons must remain in custody until such time that they can safely care for themselves.
Court Release
Inmates who have been released by the court are processed as quickly as possible. Inmates are released as soon as we receive and process the paperwork from the court. Delays do occur due to daily variations in the number of inmates in court or because of difficultly in getting the paperwork from the court.
Served Sentence
Inmates being released after having served a sentence are generally released between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. These releases do depend on the current workload of the correctional staff.
