Due to the global Coronavirus Pandemic, the Humboldt County Animal Shelter is offering modified hours and services.
If your pet is impounded at the shelter during this time, please call the shelter at 707-840-9132 to make pick up arrangements. If you are not able to reach staff, leave a message and your call will be returned. General questions can be directed to the above number as well. Office staff will be at the shelter Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to take those calls.
The shelter remains committed to adopting animals even during these unprecedented times. All adoptable animals are listed on petharbor.com. Please call the shelter if you are interested in adopting an animal. Staff can send you an adoption application via email to begin the process or you can download an application online at humboldtgov.org/2658/Animal-Shelter. Shelter staff are currently creating a plan for you to view the animal you are interested in and continue the adoption process.
