The Administration/Business Division provides administrative, accounting, dispatch and clerical support for the Public Works Department composed of the following divisions:
• Environmental Services
• Facility Management
• Land Use
• Roads & Equipment Maintenance
Support activities include tracking project costs, processing billings for reimbursement, managing the Department’s cost accounting system, entering time cards for cost tracking, taking public requests through Roads dispatch, processing vendor invoices for payment, calculating equipment rates and indirect cost rates and handles all federal and State audit reviews for the Department.
The division also prepares and maintains the Department’s employee records such as: new hire paperwork, promotions, workers compensation, disciplinary action, evaluations, transfers, training and separation.
