A total of 4,569 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Humboldt County after nine additional cases were reported today. Public Health also reported one hospitalization of a resident in their 40s.

Eureka’s COVID-19 testing site run by OptumServe is moving to the Wharfinger Building (1 Marina Way) and is scheduled to open at the new location at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 1. Testing is available in the Bay Room on the lower floor of the facility and is open to walk-ins or by appointment. Register in advance and view a full schedule of additional testing locations and times at lhi.care/covidtesting or call 888-634-1123.

Humboldt County Public Health and other approved local vaccinators have administered a total of 130,748 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination data on the Humboldt County Data Dashboard has been updated with the latest information from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR). Some highlights include:

  • More than half of all county residents over the age of 30 are fully vaccinated, and more than 3 in 4 residents age 65 and over are fully vaccinated.
  • 47.1% of the county’s total population, which is estimated at 135,940 residents, is fully vaccinated. 53.8% of the eligible population age 12 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 53.5% of the county’s total population and 61.2% of the eligible population have received at least one dose of vaccine, meaning they have some protection against the virus.

Data provided by the California Department of Public Health, which includes additional information not reflected in the CAIR database, reports that 64.9% of Humboldt County’s eligible population has received at least one dose of vaccine.
