A total of 4,569 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Humboldt County after nine additional cases were reported today. Public Health also reported one hospitalization of a resident in their 40s.
Eureka’s COVID-19 testing site run by OptumServe is moving to the Wharfinger Building (1 Marina Way) and is scheduled to open at the new location at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 1. Testing is available in the Bay Room on the lower floor of the facility and is open to walk-ins or by appointment. Humboldt County Public Health and other approved local vaccinators have administered a total of 130,748 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination data on the Humboldt County Data Dashboard has been updated with the latest information from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR). Some highlights include:
- More than half of all county residents over the age of 30 are fully vaccinated, and more than 3 in 4 residents age 65 and over are fully vaccinated.
- 47.1% of the county’s total population, which is estimated at 135,940 residents, is fully vaccinated. 53.8% of the eligible population age 12 and older is fully vaccinated.
- 53.5% of the county’s total population and 61.2% of the eligible population have received at least one dose of vaccine, meaning they have some protection against the virus.
Data provided by the California Department of Public Health, which includes additional information not reflected in the CAIR database, reports that 64.9% of Humboldt County’s eligible population has received at least one dose of vaccine.
Public Health’s vaccination clinics are scheduled in multiple locations over the next week, and all are open to walk-ins and by appointment. Sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov. See the clinic schedule for the next seven days below.

County residents age 12 and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine. Minor children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is authorized for those 18 and older.
COVID-19 vaccine is also available at many local pharmacies. Check availability at vaccines.gov, or text a ZIP code to 438829 to find a participating pharmacy nearby. Most pharmacies allow walk-ins.
