The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released updated COVID-19 vaccination data for all 58 counties, which shows 60.4% of Humboldt County’s residents age 12 and older have received at least one dose of vaccine, meaning they have some protection from the virus. See data for nearby counties below.
- Mendocino – 63%
- Del Norte – 41.9%
- Trinity – 39.9%
- Shasta – 44.3%.
CDPH also announced today that Humboldt County will remain in the “Orange” or Moderate tier under the state’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy,” with an adjusted case rate of 7.9 per 100,000 county residents and a positivity rate of 5.6%. Though the county’s metrics meet the threshold for reassignment to the “Red” tier, CDPH is also factoring hospitalizations into its reassignments, and the county’s hospital capacity is not at risk at this time.
