The Humboldt County Department of Public Works will be conducting work on Central Avenue on Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8.

Contractors will be trenching and boring across the road from East to West, 0.14 miles South of School Road on Central Avenue.

Road work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with traffic control that includes lane shifts. 

Travelers are asked to drive slowly and follow all traffic control devices and road signs in the project area. Thank you for your patience while repair work is in progress.

Humboldt County roads need a lot of work and Humboldt County Public Works acknowledges residents may encounter a maintenance issue on a county-maintained road. Community members are encouraged to submit a service request if they experience a maintenance issue. A request for service on a county road may be submitted to the Public Works Department’s Roads Division by calling 707-445-7421 or placing a request for service online.
