The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office has positively identified human remains discovered in the area of the South Fork Eel River bar in Garberville on Oct. 9, 2020, as that of 21-year-old Kadie Lynn Jones of Redding.

This case is being investigated as a homicide. This is an active investigation. More information will be released when available and appropriate.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s assistance with information regarding Jones’ whereabouts in the days leading up to her death.

Jones is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet tall, 110 pounds, with brown/blonde hair and blue eyes.
