On June 14, 2020, at about 9:35 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was notified that missing kayaker Nicholas Brunner had been located deceased in the Trinidad area.
A volunteer team of citizen divers searching for Brunner located a body submerged in the area of Camel Rock, northwest of Baker Beach. The body was recovered and positively identified as Brunner.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest sympathies to Nicholas Brunner’s family during this difficult time. We also would like to thank the team of divers for their assistance in this case.
