Humboldt County Assistant District Attorney and District-Attorney-Elect Stacey Eads received the 2022 Rural/Medium County Outstanding Prosecutor Award from the California District Attorneys Association (CDAA) at their fall conference. The CDAA gave awards this year after not doing so for three years due to the Covid pandemic; Stacey originally received a nomination for the award in 2020.
Over the last few years as the pandemic increased the challenge of getting cases to trial, Stacey Eads tried a dozen of the most difficult sexual assault and child abuse cases. Her recent efforts reflect over 20 years of success in achieving justice and enhancing public safety for Humboldt County.
In honoring Stacey, CDAA Chief Executive Officer Greg Totten stated: “Stacey Eads is a consummate prosecutor who is not only an extraordinary trial lawyer, but a trusted leader. She is deeply devoted to the cause of justice and epitomizes the highest standards of our noble profession. CDAA is therefore pleased to name her Outstanding Prosecutor for 2022!”
