An 18th Humboldt County resident has died after testing positive for COVID-19, and an additional 45 cases of the virus have been confirmed since the most recent report on Wednesday. The total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus now stands at 1,584.
The person who died was in their 90s and a resident of Granada Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman said Public Health extends its sympathies to the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones to the virus.
