The Humboldt County Joint Information Center Call Center often receives calls from county residents seeking clarity on allowable services under the Shelter-in-Place Order.

Allowable services are those businesses that may continue to operate under state and county shelter-in-place orders. The allowable services list was compiled to provide further clarity, indicating with a simple yes or no which businesses can provide services to the public during this phase of the incident, as long as social distancing guidelines are followed.

The full list of allowable services is available on the county website’s COVID-related pages in the right hand column under COVID-19 Quick Links. The list is also accessible at this link: humboldtgov.org/AllowableServices. The list is updated as appropriate when orders and public health guidance change.

Humboldt County residents can take a brief community survey and share feedback on which industries should be prioritized for reopening. County officials will consider this input as plans are put into place to reopen businesses as soon and as safely as possible after the state relaxes its shelter-in-place restrictions. The survey deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1.

To access the survey, follow this link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/DXDVYJN, or go to the humboldtgov.org homepage and click on the “Take Survey” button.
