The County of Humboldt’s Economic Development Division is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the collective branding, promoting, and marketing of Humboldt County’s cannabis industry.
The purpose of the RFP is to acquire proposals from qualified and full-service marketing agencies and/or marketing consultants. The selected consultant will develop a distinct national and industry “brand” for Humboldt County grown cannabis and cannabis-related products and services, will provide a range of professional marketing services, and engage in effective promotion of the Humboldt County Cannabis as a unique, high quality product sourced solely in Humboldt County, California. The consultant will also include recommendations for strategic use of a county stamp program.
The deadline for proposals to be received is Nov. 30 at 1:30 p.m.
“We are looking forward to receiving proposals for this innovative new program, which appears to be the first cannabis marketing initiative structured this way and supported with local government funding,” said Scott Adair, Humboldt County's Director of Economic Development. “The Humboldt name is synonymous with the world's best cannabis, and this RFP is intended to protect and grow our brand. Humboldt County supports its cannabis industry and we hope steps like this, including the broader Project Trellis effort, will help local cannabis businesses succeed and thrive in this competitive marketplace.”
