Return finished squares in the kit’s plastic bag by July 31 - put them in any library book return or in The Sanctuary’s outdoor Quilt Box. Local quilters will stitch the story pieces together. Please note that quilt pieces will NOT be returned to you but will, instead, become part of Humboldt County’s COVID Quilt collection commemorating this extraordinary year and will be displayed in numerous sites in the future.

July 31 is Quilt Square Deadline for Quilt Your Quarantine Memories Community Art Project
Saturday, July 31, 2021
We are living in a unique time, and we have many stories to tell about it. Be a part of creating a series of COVID Commemorative Quilts. Adults, teens, and children were invited to share their memories visually on a quilt square.
Your quilt square can show what or who you want everyone to remember from the past pandemic year. As there will be both fabric and paper quilts, the choice of media is wide open, and may include, for example, photography, sewing, embroidering, cross stitch, painting, or coloring with crayons and markers.
Where to Return Your Completed Quilt Square
Any Humboldt County Public Library Branch (see hours & locations here)
The Sanctuary, 1301 J St, Arcata, Outside Quilt Box
any time through Saturday July 31.
