McKinleyville Community Meeting Announcement
WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS THE MCKINLEYVILLE TOWN CENTER ORDINANCE
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 13 from 5:30 to 8:30
Location: Azalea Hall’s Hewitt Room, 1620 Pickett Road, McKinleyville
On Wednesday evening, November 13, the Humboldt County Planning & Building Department in collaboration with the McKinleyville Municipal Advisory Committee will host a community meeting to formally kick off the McKinleyville Town Center planning process. Please join us at Azalea Hall in McKinleyville to learn more about the Town Center Master Plan project and offer your vision for McKinleyville’s future.
The McKinleyville Community Plan calls for the creation of a unique identity for McKinleyville through the creation Town Center containing shops, work places, parks and civic facilities essential to the daily life of residents. Click here for a map of the Town Center Area. It contains 141 acres, the majority of which is undeveloped land adjacent to Hiller Rd between Central Ave and McKinleyville Ave.
Over the next six months, the community will develop a Town Center Master Plan to realize the public’s vision for a Town Center. Through a series of public meetings, we are seeking input from County residents who live, work or play in McKinleyville. We invite you to join us next Wednesday for the first of these meetings. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
The McKinleyville Town Center Introductory Meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 at Azalea Hall’s Hewitt Room, located at 1620 Pickett Road, McKinleyville.
