Local History Search Request Form

    If you live outside of Humboldt County, you may fill this form, print it out and mail it to submit a question that requires local library research to be done on your behalf. There is a ten dollar fee for each request. Requests will be filled in the order received. If you live in Humboldt County, please visit the library instead of using this form. Reference librarians and Humboldt Room Docents will be happy to help you at no charge.

  5. We encourage you to call the Humboldt County Main Library Reference Desk at (707) 269-1905 if you want to discuss your question before writing it here.
  6. Please provide any other information that may help us find the information you are looking for.
  7. Please give the best date you can. Be aware that if too little information is given, it may take longer to answer your question or an answer may not be found. Your search fee is not refundable.
  8. Please give identifying information about the person, such as: place of residence; first, middle, and last names; birth, marriage, or death dates; name of spouse, close relative, or child; job or profession. (If your request is for an obituary, please use our Obituary Request Form instead.)
