The County of Humboldt’s Planning & Building Department has drafted a Short-Term Rental Ordinance and is seeking public input.
On Wednesday, June 28 at 6 p.m. county Planning & Building Department staff will host a virtual public meeting regarding the draft Short-Term Rental Ordinance. The meeting will feature a presentation of the draft ordinance and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns, ideas, and input.
The draft ordinance proposes a permitting process for rental of residential dwelling units for a period of 30 days or fewer, including homes listed on Airbnb and Vrbo. Those who operate these types of short-term rental units in unincorporated Humboldt County and all interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the public meeting.
