election - register to vote

The Humboldt County Office of Elections would like to remind Humboldt County residents that Monday, Oct. 24 is the last day to register to vote in the November 8th California Statewide General Election and receive your ballot in the mail.

You can register to vote online at RegisterToVote.ca.gov or register in person at the Office of Elections, located at 2426 6th Street in Eureka, or at any local post office. If you plan to register in person and mail your registration form, please make sure that it is postmarked no later than Monday, Oct. 24 so that you can be mailed a ballot.

Eligible Humboldt County residents who miss the voter registration deadline still have access to vote. Under California election law, Conditional Voter Registration allows a prospective voter to register conditionally and cast a provisional ballot.

Conditional Voter Registration is only available in person, and you will need to allow for the extra time it will take you to fill out additional forms before voting.
