The Humboldt County Office of Elections will conduct logic and accuracy testing of the county’s voting machines on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m.

Prior to each election, the Office of Elections tests ballots and equipment to ensure that all ballot types are read correctly and all ballot counting equipment is fully functional and tallying votes accurately. A specific Logic and Accuracy Observer Panel of no more than two will be convened, pursuant to the California Secretary of State’s approved logic and accuracy procedures, to certify the validity and outcome of the testing.

The logic and accuracy testing will be broadcast live for the public on the Access Humboldt YouTube Channel and on Suddenlink cable TV channel 11.

There is limited capacity to observe the testing in person, and community members with interest in attending the testing at the Office of Elections, located at 2426 6th Street in Eureka, are asked to call (707) 445-7481 in advance to ensure space is available.

The Humboldt County Office of Elections thanks Access Humboldt for their partnership in keeping the elections process in Humboldt County transparent.
