The holiday season is almost here and we need your help to make it merry and bright.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office’s Second Annual Kid’s Christmas Card Contest is now open for entries. As part of this contest, Humboldt County third through fifth graders are invited to submit artwork for the Sheriff’s Office’s Christmas card. The artwork will be featured online and will be used on cards sent to state law enforcement agencies, our legislators and some of our local partners.

An entry form can be downloaded online or picked up in person at the HCSO Main Station lobby in Eureka. The contest is open November 15 – December 1, and the theme is “Holly Jolly Holidays at the HCSO.” Entries can be submitted online at tinyurl.com/HCSOContest.

Artwork will be judged on originality, creativity and concept. One winner will be selected by Sheriff’s Office staff and featured on this year’s HCSO Christmas Card. All winter holidays are welcome. Drawings will not be disqualified if they depict the holiday your family celebrates (ex. Kwanzaa, Hanukkah).

Rules and other information can be found online at humboldtsheriff.org or on the entry form.
