The County of Humboldt’s Planning and Building Department received over 70 applications for the Homebuyer Assistance Loan Program Wait List by noon on Wednesday, Oct. 13, just hours after it opened to the public. Applications were timestamped and sorted by the time received Wednesday morning. Staff will now review the applications and make initial determination on program eligibility. Unfortunately, State Funding Agency Guidelines require the county to keep the number of households on the wait list at 30 or below. Waitlist applicants can expect to hear from program staff in the next several weeks regarding their place on the waitlist. The county would like to thank residents for their interest in purchasing a home in Humboldt County.
