The upcoming California Gubernatorial Recall Election is Sept. 14, and registered voters in the Willow Creek and Hoopa areas that have been evacuated or are under evacuation warning are encouraged to turn in their voted ballot now. Postage is prepaid by the Office of Elections.
Voters who need a replacement ballot may contact the Humboldt County Office of Elections at 707-445-7481. The last day to request a replacement ballot is Tuesday, Sept. 7.
Voters may return voted ballot materials to the following locations by 8 pm on Election Day, Sept. 14.
•Ray’s Food Place-Willow Creek: 38915 Hwy 299, Willow Creek
Drop Box: Everyday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
•Murphy’s Market - Glendale: 1451 Glendale Dr, McKinleyville
Drop Box: Everyday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
•Humboldt County Office of Elections: 2426 6th St, Eureka
Drop Box: Everyday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Office: M - F, 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
•Hoopa Neighborhood Facility: 11860 Hwy 96, Hoopa
Voter Assistance Center: Sept. 14, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
•Willow Creek Community Services District: 135 Willow Rd, Willow Creek Voter Assistance Center: Sept. 14, 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
If the Hoopa Neighborhood Facility and/or Willow Creek Community Services District voter assistance centers become inaccessible due to fire, in-person voting will be moved to Prasch Hall, at 312 S. Railroad Ave, in Blue Lake. Voters can find the most current information about changes to voter assistance centers and available voting options by visiting the Humboldt County Office of Elections website.
