Project Trellis Micro-Grant Program accepting applicants for local cannabis industry assistance

Project Trellis

Working to overcome the financial and logistical challenges of coming into compliance with state law, the local cannabis industry has an opportunity to receive funding through the County of Humboldt’s Project Trellis Cannabis Business Micro-Grant. The program provides capital assistance and resources to assist cannabis businesses and is administered by the County Administrative Office - Economic Development Team (GoHumCo) and the Cannabis Micro-grant and Loan Advisory Committee.

The total distribution to select project proposals for the current year is based on funds available from Measure S. Individual applicants and nonprofit organizations may receive up to $10,000 per applicant. Cannabis Cooperative Associations and Road Associations, defined in the grant application, may apply for up to $50,000.

Grant Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • A Humboldt County based business, Cannabis Cooperative Association, Road Maintenance Association, or nonprofit organization.
  • Have 75% or more of your operations based in Humboldt County.
  • Be currently licensed and registered to operate in Humboldt County.
  • Conduct activities that are specific to the cultivation, processing, manufacturing, distribution or retail of cannabis, or whose organization provides support and/or services to the cannabis industry.

Applications are available on the Project Trellis Cannabis Business Micro-Grant web page

The application is available as an online form, however, hard copies are accepted if documents are easier to submit in paper format.
