Cultivators; second installment of Excise Taxes for 2019 cultivation year is due

County of Humboldt

The Second Installment of Excise Taxes for the 2019 cultivation year is due now and the last day to pay without penalties is October 15, 2020.

Due to COVID, the Treasurer-Tax Collectors Office is open to the public only from 9:00 am– 2:00 pm Monday through Friday; and follows strict access protocols.

  • It is strongly recommended you pay by mail if possible. Payments postmarked by October 15, 2020, will be accepted as timely.
  • Long wait times should be expected when paying in person.
  • Late excise tax payments result in a 10% penalty as of October 16, 2020
  • Take a moment today and send in your excise tax payment. Don’t forget!

Look at your bill and if you have any questions, call us at 707-476-2450. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to make timely payments.

There are also secure payment boxes just inside the Courthouse (before the security checkpoints) at both the 4th and 5th Street entrances, but the Courthouse closes at 5:00 pm.

More information is available on the County Website.
