At the request of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Humboldt County Parks Division will be assisting in keeping our Humboldt County BLM public lands open during the federal shutdown. Beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, Humboldt County Parks will service the South Spit Cooperative Management Area day-use areas on Saturdays and Tuesdays, and the Mattole Campground on Mondays. BLM will be providing all supplies needed to the county in order to maintain the restrooms and remove the garbage from these locations.

For more information, contact the Humboldt County Parks Division at 707-445-7651.
