This is a not-for-credit course for educators, service providers and any person who needs to talk with deaf, hard of hearing, or nonverbal people on a regular basis. Learn the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) and the signs most used in daily life. Topics include signs related to everyday life situations, simple questions, and key cultural differences and expectations when talking with people who are deaf or nonverbal. This class is focused on practical skills.
