Check out a Parks Pack at the service desk of your library, any day the library is open. You can check out the day pack for two weeks, the same AMount of time as a Parks Pass. When it's time to return the pack, check the contents list to make sure all items are there.

The pack includes a small book (Humboldt Hikes KIDS), folding nature guides, a California parks brochure, a magnifying glass, mini binoculars, a compass, a list of pack contents, and 1 California State Library Parks Pass design luggage tag on a key ring. Just add your lunch and you are ready to go! Ask at your library service desk to find out how to borrow the pack. A full-service library card is required.
