This Family Literacy Party invites families to learn simple vocal songs and rounds, both 'a cappella' and with a piano to sing along to. Then, learn how to write your own short song!

Lorenza Simmons-Phillips has been a music educator and performer in Humboldt County for over 20 years. She has taught piano and voice lessons to youth, teens, and adults of all ages and has performed solo and in groups of many different genres, but specifically Gospel, Reggae, World Acappella, and R&B. 

She enjoys sharing the joy of music with all!


Since 1981, Humboldt Literacy Project has provided free, confidential English Language tutoring with programs for native English speakers, English as a second language, and family literacy.
