11:00 AM, Garberville Library Story Time. It's Pirate Month here! (in Person)
Saturday, September 10, 2022
Shiver me timbers! September is Pirate Month at Garberville Library. Pirate yarns ahoy! Children 12 and under and their parents or care givers are invited to join us for story time at Garberville Library, which may include dancing, singing and crafts.
Pirate Story Time

Saturday at 11:00 AM
It's pirates today, and next week meet a 'Real' pirate (a former school teacher) who dresses like a pirate and will tell stories from the classic children's adventure book, Treasure Island, complete with a British accent.
Story time is a great activity for children. Children who often hear stories read aloud learn how to listen, learn more words and how to use them, and absorb new facts and ideas. In the adventure of story, kids also grow in imagination, problem-solving and creativity. Kids who listen to stories are better prepared for life and school. Story time at the library builds a child's fascination with reading and teaches skills that can be a lifelong advantage.
Most of all, it's fun!
