6:00 PM, Master Gardener Book Club discusses 'Finding the Mother Tree'. All welcome. (Zoom)

Friday, October 15, 2021

Join local UCCE Master Gardener Susan Kornfeld and the Humboldt County Library for today's discussion of 'Finding the Mother Tree'. Simard, the world’s leading forest ecologist who forever changed how people view trees and their connections to one another and to other living things in the forest, has written what has been called a moving, deeply personal journey of discovery. Focusing on books that discuss gardening, ecology and science, this program is sure to be inspiring for novice and expert gardeners alike. Check the book out from the library, or find a copy wherever you can.

Master Gardener Book ClubSuzanne Simard's 'Finding the Mother Tree' has redwoods on the cover.

Join UCCE Master Gardener Susan Kornfeld, the Humboldt County Library, and other local readers in this new book club. Everyone is welcome.

With a focus on gardening, ecology, and science, this book club reads titles that discuss the natural world that lives around us and in our own backyards.

This meeting is Friday, October 15 at 6:00 PM, via Zoom. We'll talk about 'Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest' by Suzanne Simard.

Thank you to the UCCE Master Gardeners for sponsoring this program!
