As partners with the Humboldt County Library, KEET-TV and Word Humboldt invite you to join us for three FREE online workshops. Two of the classes are led by members of Word Humboldt, a local spoken word group that creates an engaging and safe space for people to develop their literacy skills and focus on poetry as a tool for social justice.

The last event in the series, this is a poetry reading, open to all. You'll have an opportunity to read your work. Choose poems you wrote in the earlier workshops, or bring other poems that you wrote yourself, that you feel fit into the theme of the series. Take the opportunity to network with other writers and get feedback.

A kit full of fun activities and writing prompts is available for free
at all Humboldt County Library branches. The kit includes supplies and
instruction on activities like blackout poetry, fill-in-the-blank
poetry, and DIY magnetic poetry, in order to help writers and poets
explore and ignite their creativity.
